General Information

1. The school provides co-education from Nursery to Class XII

2. The Institution follows the syllabus of I.C.S.E. Course. INDIAN CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, NEW DELHI. I.C.S.E.

3. The school provides opportunity to every student for his/her physical, mental and cultural development.

4. An Identity Card is issued to every student for important reasons. Old students must have their Identity Cards renewed in every academic year. Parents must bring the Identity Cards of their wards at the time of taking them home. The Identity Card supplied by the school should be deposited to the office for the Principal’s signature after filling in and affixing a recent passport size photo of the student within seven days of the commencement of the New Session.

5. School Badge, School Tie, School belt, Exercise Book, Identity Card, School Diary etc. are to be purchased from the School Office.

Compulsory – (1) English (first Language) (2) Bengali/Hindi (Second Language) (3) History, Civics, Geography (5) S.U.P.W. 3rd Language Class from IV to VIII, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi. Core Subject-Moral science, General Knowledge, Art and Craft. Additional Subject – Moral Science, General Knowledge, Art and Craft. Additional Subjects for Classes IX and X. (1) Element of Accounts.

Code Of Conduct

A. Students are required to speak in English in the school.

B. They should not pluck leaves, flowers, fruits and must not scribble anything on the walls.

C. All should be careful to keep their class rooms and school premises clean and tidy.

D. Student should courteous to everyone. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them.

E. A private tutor may be engaged only after the approval of the Principal/Headmistress.

F. A penalty will be imposed if a student breaks or damage any school property.

G. The school will not take any responsibility of a student after 15 minutes of schedule break of the school.

H. Students will not be allowed to join classes after 10-30 am.

I. Students may be suspended for any type of misconduct.

Library Rules

  1. All the students and staff are the members of the school library.
  2. Students are allowed to read books only inside the library room during library period and other off periods. They do not have the permission to borrow any book outside the school premises.
  3. Pupils are not allowed to enter the library room with foods, drinks, bags or any other personal belongings.
  4. Staff members are allowed to borrow books to their homes only with the permission of the principal.
  5. Strict order and silence shall be maintained in the library room and pupils are allowed to speak softly only if needed.
  6. Pupils must check a book while being issued and inform the librarian if there’s any defect.
  7. Marking, underlining, or writing on the library books or on the other documents of the school library will be subjected to penalty charges.

If a book is misused, wrongly handled, or lost, the responsible person must pay the penalty charges or replace the item within 7 days.

Promotion Policy

  1. Good students’ conduct all year round is a necessary requirement for promotion to next classes.
  2. All the school fees must be paid within stipulated time period to be eligible to appear in each terminal examination.
  3. A student must have a minimum attendance of 75% to appear in the final examinations except special cases.
  4. The chairperson and the principal will have the sole right to allow a student having less than 75% attendance or a student who has not paid all the fees, in the examinations after considering the special cases. The guardian and the student must accept the final decision taken by the chairperson and the principal.
  5. Promotion is granted on the basis of the performance of a student during the entire session.
  6. A student must secure at least 40% in all the subjects individually and in aggregate.
  7. If a student secures less than 40% in one subject, is promoted under consideration after a guardian call and a written commitment of doing better in the next year.
  8. A student has to sit for compartmental examination and will be promoted to next class only after passing the examination if pupil has secured less than 40% in two subjects.
  9. In case a student secures less than 40% in more than two subjects, pupil will not be eligible for ‘compartmental’ examination and will be detained in the same class.

Leave of Absence

  1. A student must submit an absent letter justifying appropriate reason to the principal in case of absence from the classes up to five days.
  2. In case of absence for a week or more than that, an application must be submitted to the principal in advance and permission must be obtained. In case of sickness, a genuine medical certificate must be submitted along with the absent letter.
  3. All the absent letters should be duly signed by guardians.
  4. A student, who is continuously absent for more than two weeks without intimation, is liable to have his/her name removed from the register.

School Uniform

All students are supposed to attend school with school uniform which is compulsory for all without any relaxation of any sort. The guardians are advised to manage the following uniform materials from their wards in time. They are also requested not to approach the school authorities for any relaxation, exemption in this regard. Excuses like repairs or stitching will not be entertained. The stitching should be got done as per the given pattern.

• For Girls from L.N to Class V:

  1. Sky coloured blouse with navy-blue tunic accompanied by tie, badge, and blue rubber band/ ribbon/ hairband.
  2. Black Velcro shoes and white socks.
  3. Navy-blue sleeveless/full sleeved cardigan in winter.

• For Girls from Class VI to XII:

  1. Sky coloured blouse with pleated navy-blue skirt up to knee length accompanied by tie, badge, and blue rubber band/ ribbon/ hairband.
  2. Black buckled shoes and white socks.
  3. Navy-blue blazers in winter.

• For Boys from L.N to Class V:

  1. Sky coloured half shirt accompanied by navy-blue shorts, tie, badge, and belt.
  2. Full sleeved shirt and sleeveless/full sleeved sweaters are allowed in winter.
  3. Black leather school shoes with lace and white socks.

• For Boys from Class VI to Class XII:

  1. Sky coloured half shirt accompanied by navy-blue trousers, tie, badge, and belt.
  2. Black leather school shoes with lace and white socks.
  3. Full sleeved shirt and navy-blue Blazers are allowed in winter.

Excursions and Educational tours

The school arranges well planned excursions and educational tours from time to time in order to acquaint the students with the life and environment of different places.

Transfer Certificate

  1. A clear application letter for TC along with the application fee must be submitted to the principal at least one month before leaving the school.
  2. No TC will be issued to any student until all dues to the school are paid in full.
  3. A pupil’s name may be struck-off the school Register is he/she is absent for 15 days or more without any intimation.
  4. Students who will fail twice in the same class will be given TC.
  5. A student may be given forced TC for serious breach of discipline or gross misconduct
